Robotics Vanesa Gomez Gonzalez was born in Spain and studied Computer Science Engineering at UPM, Madrid. She worked as a Java Developer for seven years in Spain and UK. She studied a Master degree in Space Studies at the International Space University and did her internship at NASA JPL in the robotics section. Currently she is working at ESA in Madrid. Although her background is compter science, Ms Gomez is a robotics enthusiast and has always developed a strong interest for space sciences.
Enginereeng Piotr Murzionak received his B.Eng. in Aerospace Engineering from Carleton University, Canada. He completed MSc in Space Studies from the International Space University, France. He has worked at Mechtronix Systems Inc. designing flight simulators and also at Tohoku University in Japan improving the attitude determination and control subsystem of micro-satellites. Space and engineering are the two of his key interest areas which drive him forward to engineer new solutions for space.
Project Manager Alessandro holds a MEng in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Bristol and a MSc in Space Studies from the International Space University. He specialized in space systems engineering and mission analysis design. Alessandro has worked with Astrium as a mission analysis engineer and for SES Astra as a spectrum developer. He also worked for NASA as an engineer in the Mars Sample Return mission. Alessandro has a strong passion for human space exploration.
Project Manager Adrianos is a Medical Doctor from Greece with a keen interest in Space Medicine and Astronomy. He served at Mars-X as Project Manager and contributor to the Human Spaceflight sections. After fulfilling his internship at the European Astronaut Centre, he is now bound for one year of medical and scientific research at the European Antarctic station of Concordia, one of the world’s prime space mission analogues.
Lead Scientist Thomas is an astrophysicist currently working at the European Space Astronomy Centre whilst actively pursuing a PhD in exoplanet research. He has previous experience working at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in the Exoplanet and Stellar laboratory. Thomas has a MPhys in Astrophysics from Cardiff University, in which exoplanet detection research was completed for his Master thesis and recently graduated with a MSc in Space Studies from the International Space University.
